This hand-thrown vessel features a distinct bulbous body with a subtly flared rim, acting as a canvas for a playful exploration of human emotion. The exterior is coated in a textured slate blue glaze with deep indigo underglaze brushstrokes painted on opposing sides. One side displays a sad, crying face, while the reverse side reveals a joyful, smiling expression. This intentional contrast turns a functional ceramic object into an interactive, storytelling piece, bridging utilitarian pottery with the expressive, character-driven charm seen throughout my wider sculptural practice.
