This series merges threatened animals from the IUCN Red List into single organisms to highlight global habitat loss. To make a heavy topic easy to digest, I sculpt these creatures with a friendly, nostalgic, teddy bear-like aesthetic. This approachable design invites viewers to connect deeply with wildlife conservation rather than turning away from it. This piece combines a Pygmy Three-toed Sloth and a Red Panda. Pygmy Three-toed Sloths (Bradypus pygmaeus) are Critically Endangered; they live exclusively on a single tiny island in Panama, where a severely restricted habitat has left fewer than 100 individuals remaining in the wild. The Red Panda (Ailurus fulgens) is considered Endangered. Its global population has plummeted by 50% over the last two decades due to deforestation and fragmentation across the eastern Himalayas.
