Created in 2024, this kiln-formed bowl showcases a fluid, organic silhouette with a beautifully undulating, ruffled rim. The piece utilizes a rich palette of deep cobalt, sapphire, and translucent turquoise blues that swirl together seamlessly to capture the movement of flowing water. The high-gloss finish highlights the smooth curves and variable thickness of the glass, allowing light to pass through and expose subtle internal marbling and delicate air bubbles trapped within the walls during the kiln-firing process. Balancing functional vessel design with sculptural expression, this independent work captures a serene, organic elegance that celebrates the luminous, shifting qualities of the medium.
